Wearable Ecosystems,
reconstructed and hand-beaded garments, where no two gardens grow the same.

Born in a small village in the northern Philippines, Jeric Ross was known by his childhood nickname, Bibi. After moving to Campbell River on Vancouver Island, he grew up surrounded by the natural world. With a father who loved to garden, his childhood was filled with flowers, insects, and afternoons spent chasing dragonflies and bees.
Drawing and painting were his earliest forms of creative expression, but as he grew older, those mediums began to bring anxiety into the creative process. He eventually found beadwork as a new outlet—one that allowed him to reconnect with creating through texture, colour, and form. What began as a creative escape gradually became an artistic language of its own.
BIBI JERIC brings together different chapters of his story. BIBI is rooted in childhood, memory, and whimsy; JERIC represents the artist he is today and the creative identity he continues to become. Through reconstructed garments and hand-beaded ecosystems, his work carries fragments of the past into the present while leaving room for what comes next.
